Job Description

Huntsman Global Business Services is now looking for a dynamic individual as a Human Resources Shared Services Manager to play a key role as a part of our established Global Business Services (GBS) group.  The ideal candidate will be a key leader in our expanding Hire to Retire (H2R) service team and be actively engaged in creating a global world class H2R organization that can operationalize service solutions for both global and regional HR services. To be successful in this role, you must have a passion for customer service, a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to collaborate with both your own and other HR service teams around the globe and a desire to drive change and transform HR service delivery. The ideal candidate will be located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

 

As a Human Resources Shared Services Manager, you will:

 

Lead the HRSSC organization, ensuring delivery of all HR administration related transactions to high standards of customer satisfaction

 

Directly manage the performance and development of the HRSSC team, building up a strong capable team who will deliver excellence and compliance for wide range of the following activities:

 

a) Payroll, HR transaction data, database records under regional processes

b) Learning & Development administration and HR purchasing administration under global services

 

Drive the ongoing performance of the HR Shared Services Team – leading, managing and developing the team to ensure ensuring an integrated approach to service delivery, operational efficiency and client focused culture

 

Be recognized as the face of GBS HR Shared Services, building excellent working relationships with HR Business Partners, other GBS Managers and key customers and working to clearly understand service needs and business expectations for the team in a proactive and positive manner

 

Positively influence the HR Business Partners and customers of the benefits of implementing new processes or practices, securing their support and buy-in and managing change through service transitions

 

Engage with HR Business Partners to understand their HR service needs and collaborate to create improved HR business processes, practices and services that will add value to their business lines

 

Drive process standardization and improvement within HR Shared Services working closely with other internal teams to ensure technology is optimized to best meet HR Shared Services and customer requirements.

 

Introducing and applying new methods and applications to the HR Shared Service Team when feasible and appropriate

 

Manage tracking and reporting of service delivery in the HR Shared Services Team according to agreed KPI’s/SLAs and other agreed measures

 

Act as the Senior HR specialist and general HR subject matter expert with direct involvement in operational HR cases where a greater level of seniority or experience is required

 

Act as the point of escalation and arbitration to resolve long-standing or complex cases raised through the HR Shared Services Team or from senior business customers

 

Keep personal knowledge up-to-date through external networking and attending conferences bringing back leading edge and innovative HR Shared Services thinking and sharing this with the team and HR Leadership

 

Ensure 100% in SOX and regulatory compliance in the HR services delivery

 

Communicate EHS standards to the team and implement in all daily activities and operational processes. Contribute and participate in EHS programs as appropriate

 

What skills and experiences are we looking for?

Bachelors or Masters in Human Resources, Management, Business or GBS Related (preferred) with 12 years or more experience

 

Demonstrable success in an HR Service leadership role and prior experience in the set up or management of a Shared Service Centre

 

Very good people leadership skills with demonstrated ability to motivate, coach and train a successful team and create a customer centric culture

 

Ability to influence and network with appropriate stakeholders to achieve results with a collaborative approach to priority setting and problem solving

 

Proven experience of advising and supporting internal stakeholders

 

Demonstrated capability in leading change and transitions

 

Proven track record of reviewing, streamlining, and standardizing existing HR transactional services with a focus to deliver efficiency, quality, and cost effectiveness

 

Discreet with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive situations

 

Good foundation of HR concepts/principles acquired through hands on HR operations execution and transactional service experience

 

Experience of working in project management, change management is an advantage

 

Relationship management skills working with external partner/service providers

 

Excellent understanding and experience of working with HRSSC systems preferred, especially Workday and ServiceNow

 

Broad understanding of APAC Labor law and relevant regulations a plus

 

Communicates tactfully and effectively both verbally and in writing

 

Maintains effective work relations with those encountered during employment
